How much insulation does my attic actually need?
Most older Bay Area homes were built with far less insulation than today’s standards call for. We measure your current depth, check for gaps and compression, and bring the attic up to the level that modern energy codes recommend.
Do you remove the old insulation first?
When the existing material is degraded, rodent-affected, or moldy, we remove it completely, clean and air-seal the attic floor, and only then install fresh insulation. If the old layer is healthy, topping it up can be the smarter option — we tell you honestly which one your attic needs.
What is air sealing and do I need it?
